I share some of your concerns about poor old Blighty but in my little part of rural Devon (the peasant bit, not the touristy bit), it's still very pleasant with a good community atmosphere and nice people. The threat of terrorism and feral yobs seem a long way away, although no doubt they're getting closer by the day. It's almost impossible for local people to buy a house, though, and like the rest of Britain we are suffocated by nanny New Labour with its miles of red tape and reams of stupid laws. It's worrying that the only viable alternative to New Labour is a party led by an out-of-touch aristocrat who thinks he's in-touch with the rest of us because he wears green trainers and rides a bike.<BR/>Anyway, I hope you'll continue blogging from Spain because I really enjoy reading it.Around My Kitchen Tablehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01840917368903178857noreply@blogger.com
